As Princess Zelda returns to the center of Hyrule after landing on Suthorn Beach, she explores the Keese-filled Beach Cave.
After defeating the bats and climbing obstacles, she sees a hidden heart piece wedged between a pile of boxes.
But this isn’t Mario, you can’t just knock them out of the way, and with the limited amount of Echos you’ve collected so far, you’d think you’d have to come back later to collect them. .
However, you should already have everything you need at hand. This is what you need to do.
Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Beach Cave Heart Piece
To collect the Heart Piece in the Beach Cave, climb up the scaling wall and onto the platform above the chests.
Equip your rock or boulder Echo and drop it from a height onto the boxes.
The momentum of the fall causes the rock to smash the box on top of the clearance. Then hold ZR to dispel the object, then drop another rock or boulder to break another box and open the path to the Heart Piece.
This is probably the first time you’ve encountered this physics interaction while playing Echoes of Wisdom, so it’s possible you didn’t even know that stones could break boxes – let alone that the force of a fall would change the outcome !
Dropping items on other objects isn’t actually a common occurrence during your adventure, but it’s worth keeping this possibility in mind as you explore and solve puzzles.
After the cave, once you reach Suthorn Village, be sure to visit the shop. There you will find another useful item for your collection!
