After two games on the road, Colo. State back home. They welcome the LMU Lions to Moby Arena on Wednesday at 6:00 PM ET. The Rams come with some offensive prowess as they have averaged 75.7 points per game this season.
On Friday, Colo. State needs some extra time to put TCU away. They snuck past the Horned Frogs with a 76-72 victory. The win was a relief for the Rams and ended their three-game losing streak.
Nique Clifford was the offensive highlight of the game as he posted a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Additionally, he also scored six assists, the most he has had since December 2023.
Meanwhile, LMU on Wednesday recorded their biggest win since Dec. 9, 2023. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Wyoming, pulling past 73-70. After predicting a narrow win for the Lions, the oddsmakers were right on the money.
Among those leading the charge was Jevon Porter, who went 11 for 18 on his way to 29 points plus seven rebounds and four blocks. He continues to roll, surpassing his previous point total in each of the last three games he has played. Caleb Stone-Carrawell was another key player, going 8 for 10 on his way to 17 points.
Colo. State now has a winning record of 4-3. As for LMU, the win brought them back to even terms, 3-3.
Rebounding will likely be a big factor in this fight: Colo. State has been crashing the boards this season, averaging 36.3 rebounds per game. However, it’s not like LMU’s problems in that department as they average 37.5. As both teams battle to convert missed shots, we’ll see if one team can grab an advantage.
