While some designers create their resort collections for glamorous types that are on holiday in St. Barths of Aspen during the months of months, Trish Wescoat Pound of TWP has a many practical customer: those who regularly have to face the outside world and all his elements.
“Rain, rain, go away,” she says, showing off with a water-repellent anorakjack, made in a cotton canvas and gabardine fabric. A skirt and jacket were also cut into the weather -resistant treatment. There are also thick navy cable knitted turtleneck for cold winter nights and different coats – from classic felts in cognacs and limes to a reversible trench that both works in several seasons. (Especially instead of using the term ‘resort’, she calls this collection ‘pre-spring’.)
Wescoat Pound says that her inspiration this season – and to be honest all seasons – is useful: “I design clothes that women want,” she said, although she challenges the idea that function is coming to the sacrifice of form. The aforementioned sweater has a funnel neck collar, while a few pants have exaggerated bubble. Wide legs are woven with a sparkle finish. While the Shirting of TWP, especially cracked and oversized Italian cotton shirts it reminds the most famous selection of the brand, Wescoat Pound noted that the pants have seen an increase in interest among customers. “They look really good on many different women with different forms,” she said.
Her evening clothing is where she makes her strongest explanation. An ivory silk bias-cut dress is embellished with delicate silver beads belts that run along the back, while making tops and skirts in a glittery, woven mesh. Maybe you can still wear this clothing in St. Barths.
