Reburn’s chic looking, almost – far -reaching shooter La Quimera now has a release date – April 25, 2025. That is powerful for an FPS project that we first heard about this February, although nothing to be alerted by – it has been in development since around 2020.
In case you have missed it, Reburn is a rebrand of Metro Studio 4A games Ukraine -they should not be confused with 4A games in Malta, who are still working on the metro series. La Quimera doesn’t look much like Metro. I have compared it to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Cyberpunk 2077 in our announcement post, and the trailer below to exosuit punching and heat railgunnery does nothing to get rid of that characterization.
La Quimera is set “in and around the fictional Latin American mega city of Nuevo Caracas”. You and a maximum of two of your friends play members of a PMC group “trapped in a huge conflict between rival factions and shady companies, while mystical events are increasingly blurred between reality and illusion”. (OK, the last part is perhaps more Black Ops 3 than advanced warfare.)
Provide a mysterious benefactor, you have a slick mecha-one with the power to become invisible, and a couple of weapons that look like mating stealth bombers. The world and narrative play writing of the Game of Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn – who, now that I think about it, has also contributed to Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding Games. It is suspected that refn may try to do a Vin diesel and invent himself again as a video game man.
Reburn remain located in Kyiv, that was just today hit by Russian rockets In the course of the three -year attack by Russia on his smaller neighbor. “As a development studio that works from Ukraine, in recent years it has been extremely challenging in terms of bringing artistic creation while fighting with the reality of war and dramatic shifts in the games industry,” comments on CEO DMYTRO Lymar in an explanation.
If you want to try those exos onions for the size, the developers have a closed 24 -hour steambèta for La Quimera, from 12 April at 7 am pt, 3 p.m. BST or 4 p.m. CEST. It will support co-op. Read more about Steam.
