These shocking revelations are part of Robert Jobson’s upcoming biography: Catherine: Princess of Walesof which he shared fragments with the Daily email.
In the phone call, both William and Kate, 42, acknowledged that they were on “different pages” at the time, according to Jobson, and this was seemingly the end of the romance that had begun when both were students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
According to Jobson, Kate was desperate. He wrote: “It was a devastating blow for Catherine, who felt doubly let down at being dumped over the phone. Although it wasn’t the first time William had examined their relationship, it felt final.”
William, on the other hand, got very drunk and celebrated his newfound freedom by declaring, “I’m free!” and performing the robot dance, during “an alcohol-fuelled evening at the Mahiki nightclub in Mayfair with his close friends”.
He then told his friends to all “drink the menu,” and apparently they did. After all, who’s going to say no to the future king?
