The Overwatch 2 stadium was announced earlier this year, a new round-based mode with which you can buy upgrade items through its rounds to get different buffs, equipment, etc. while trying to win the best of seven rounds. To be honest, one of the most striking things is that it has a perspective of a third person, first a series for the shooter, one that I have never understood that is not in the game see how much emphasis on skins there is. But interesting enough it does not launch with every character in the selection, and strange that contains box character tracer.
Blizzard, however, not only decided that for a goof and a fork, and in a recent round table (thanks, Pcgamenn), Overwatch 2 gamed director Aaron Keller, senior game designer Dylan Snyder, and lead level designer Ryan Smith spoke about how the team decided the first 17 characters and why Tracer was not there. “The reason we chose the heroes we did in the stadium has a lot to do with what we thought we could do with their kits,” said Keller.
He explained that they simply chose heroes that they “had immediate ideas to make really unique, exciting and transforming builds”. In addition, they believe that the available heroes for players will be a bit easier to learn the ropes with the new mode. “We have specifically not chosen much of the really heavy movement characters, just because their movement options are likely to be strengthened [when brought into Stadium]. “That is essentially where Tracer comes in things.
Keller apparently made it clear that Blizzard still loves their Bri’ish, time that pilot manipulates, but they wanted the stadium to “launch a size as healthy as possible before we bring in heroes that have really crazy mobility.” However, Tracer will eventually be added, and Blizzard has said earlier that more will be added every season.
To be honest, I do not exactly blame the team for leaving tracer if they cannot get the balancing well, it is just a bit funny that she is the series -poster -character, and she is not available in a new, flagship mode. Video games! They are not always logical. Oh, and if you are not the hard Tracer Main who will not play without her, the stadium mode of Overwatch 2 will arrive next week as part of season 16 to April 22.
