I was very pleasantly surprised when it was announced last year that Moonlighter was given a sequel. In that “Oh, I would never have guessed that this game would get one” a way. MoonLighter 2: The endless safe, as the full name goes, does not yet have an exact release date, but during today’s triple-i-show case it received a release window, which is the next best what I suppose. However, it is a vague-like window, somewhere this summer.
At least that is not too far away, given that my understanding of the way in which summer works in the northern hemisphere is the following season. Perhaps a bit awkward as a developer Digital Sun was located in the southern hemisphere, but finally I checked that Spain was in the northern, so we should be good.
The new trailer also showed a pretty nice look at the game, which looks very nice. It is clear that the first game was all the pixel art, while it uses the 3D approach – nowadays seems to be a bit of a trend – and I think it has been translated very well so far.
As before, you will explore dungeons, fight against Baddies and especially take a loot to bring back to your store to hopefully sell and make a big prop cash. You can apparently invest in the local village, so that you can ultimately get better weapons and things like that. Everything looks neat when you ask me!
Again, not an exact release date, but when MoonLighter 2: the endless safe arrives this summer, this will do this as an early access release.
