Miss Sohee, the brand founded by the Zuid -Korean designer Sohee Park, has secured a place on the prestigious schedule of the French Fédération de la Haute Couture – a honor reserved for only a few in the exclusive world of the French couture. Today, as the newest member of this Elite Club, Park has unveiled its debut collection in Hôtel Pozzo di Borgo, the historic home that is once owned by Karl Lagerfeld. Yet the designer Backstage did not seem like the show.
Park is sensually carved silhouettes: “If a woman designing for women, I love the natural curves of the body,” she said. Her fascination for the shape of petals and shells was a recurring motif throughout the collection. She also expressed an appreciation for modesty – although her opening look otherwise suggested. Coco Rocha appeared in a pure black chantilly-sants bodysuit, combined with a matching face mask and lace-like stiletto boots, all laminated under a corset body with python-printed round shells that (so to speak) cover the hips.
The collection was absolutely about temptation and glamor – reliable side and taft, winding silhouettes, corsetry, petticoats peek from under the dresses and exposed brassières. “This season I really felt attracted to the beauty of underwear,” Park explained. The close -fitting, vaulted creations of previous seasons (“I never cut into straight lines”) were re -interpreted in softly draped leather; Recruit on complicated embellishments, Park Crafted raised lacquer embroidery by Flora and Fauna-a delicate tribute to her Korean heritage-on-side close pearl blisters that adorn wallets and belts. Park has a preference for the theatrical, as well as for sensual femininity; There is a beautiful flamboyance for her creations that make them a balance between the Western contemporary style and delicate Eastern grace. Celebrities and movie stars pay attention.
