How to use monster fangs and guts in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Throughout Echoes of Wisdom, Princess Zelda can use plants and ingredients she finds in the kingdom of Hyrule to create useful potions that restore her heart, replenish her energy, and temporarily enhance her abilities.

However, some of these ingredients are more difficult to use than others. Parts that drop from monsters, namely Monster Fangs and Monster Guts, only create an “Unfortunate Smoothie” when combined with many different ingredients.

Here’s how to get the most out of it and avoid wasting your important supplies.

How to use monster teeth and monster guts in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Like other Zelda games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Echoes of Wisdom uses monster parts to make potions, not smoothies.

These potions provide long-lasting enhancements to Zelda’s abilities, including damage reduction, speed boosts, and in some cases even elemental immunity.

Monster Fangs are used to create exploration-oriented potions. They are combined with ingredients that provide a speed boost or other useful effect to stimulate that effect for a longer period of time.

Monster Guts, on the other hand, are used to make combat-oriented potions. Combined with elemental ingredients, they create potions that resist these statuses. They can also be used to make a damage reduction potion.

Here’s the full list of what Monster Fangs and Monster Guts make:

1. Monster Fang + Bubble Kelp = Bubble Potion (extended dive time)
2. Monster Fang + Pepper = Warming Potion (resist snowy weather)
3. Monster Fang + River Horse = Quick Potion (increase swimming speed)
4. Monster Fang + Rocktato = Climbing Potion (increase speed when climbing walls)
5. Monster Fang + Radiant Butter = Radiant Potion (make Zelda Glow in the Dark)
6. Monster Fang + Twisted Pumpkin = Twisty Potion (increase wind speed of vending machines)
7. Monster Guts + Pepper = Red-hot potion (resist fire damage and combustion)
8. Monster Guts + Cactus = Chilly Potion (resist ice damage and freezing)
9. Monster Guts + Electro Apple = Electro Potion (resist electro damage and shock)
10. Monster Guts + Tough Mango = Tough Potion (reduce all damage types)
