Season 9 of ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ is bringing in high viewership not only compared to previous seasons of the series, but also to the ‘Below Deck’ franchise in general, according to data from Multiplatform + 35.
The first 14 episodes of the season averaged 3.4 million viewers, good for 35 days of viewership, with 1.7 million of those viewers in the key Adults 18-49 demographic. The last three episodes still have to reach the 35-day mark and were broadcast on September 9, 16 and 23. But provided the season average holds steady, this will represent the best MP+35 viewership for any “Below Deck” series. – including the flagship title plus ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’, ‘Below Deck Down Under’ and ‘Below Deck Adventure’ – since 2021, when Season 6 of ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ drew a 35-day average of 3.5 million viewers ( with 1.8 million among adults aged 18 to 49).
It’s not surprising that “Below Deck Mediterranean” is heading in this direction, given Season 9’s significant contribution to Season 8’s viewership. According to 35-day data, where available, the new season’s viewership has improved 16% from from last year, with a growth of 26% when isolated to adults aged 18 to 49.
The statistics above reflect a combination of Nielsen measurements of Bravo viewership of “Below Deck” and first-party data from NBCUniversal regarding streams on Peacock.
