Football Manager 25 will not be released until the end of November, Sports Interactive’s Miles Jacobson has announced. In the latest development update for Football Manager 25, Miles has said that the official announcement for the game has been moved to the end of September and that international management will not be part of this release.
The announcement of the removal of international management follows news from the June development update, which confirmed that touchline shouting, club creation, challenge mode and versus mode would also not be present in Football Manager 25. “The FM25 development cycle was a challenge for the entire team. We knew moving the entire game to the Unity engine would be a complex undertaking. Now that we have delved deeper into the process and learned lessons, we can say that it has been more difficult than we initially expected. The entire development team has been challenged in countless new ways and is doing fantastic work. I’m excited to eventually share our hard work with you, but we still need a little more time before we can do that.
The challenges we have encountered during the development process in recent months have led us to make another difficult decision regarding the game content: international management will not be a playable mode in FM25, FM25 Console or FM25 Touch. After a summer of tournament football and with this week even being an international break, we took a very hard look at the international management in FM and determined that what we were planning to deliver would not meet our original quality threshold. However, international management remains playable in FM25 Mobile, because it is on a different development path and on a different code base.”
Miles continues that international management returns in Football Manager 26. Another change is that player profiles will also not show their weights. This is because the weight of female players changes more often than that of men. This is likely the last development update for Football Manager 25 prior to the game’s release.
