Trump called Biden’s speech an “angry, dark, hateful tirade,” accused him of failing to bring the country together and labeled his presidency a “miserable nightmare.”
Despite claiming he wanted to unite Americans, Trump resorted to mocking Biden’s speech impediment, raising questions about his sincerity toward unity.
Trump shared his thoughts on Biden’s speech, telling a crowd of his supporters, “That was the worst president in history, giving the worst State of the Union address in history.” But if you are a disillusioned Democrat, of which there are many these days, I extend to you an open hand, an open invitation, and I ask you to join us in the noble quest to save our country! To save our country!’
“Together, we will forever turn the page on the miserable nightmare that is the Biden presidency. What a presidency. What a president. The most incompetent president we’ve ever had. The worst president, the most incompetent and the most corrupt. Other than that I think he’s actually doing quite well,” he continued. “And we will make America great again. Two nights ago we all heard Crooked Joe’s angry, dark, hate-filled rant about a State Of The Union speech, right? Didn’t it bring us together? ‘tt-together? I’m going to put it together.’ No. He is a threat to democracy. I will tell you. He is a threat to democracy.’
Trump currently faces 91 criminal charges across four indictments in DC, New York, Georgia and Florida. These include charges of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government, conspiracy against civil rights, obstruction, withholding and altering documents, false statements and falsifying business records.
If found guilty of all charges against him, he could be sentenced to more than 300 years in prison.
Trump has subsequently denied any criminal wrongdoing and called any charges against him a “political witch hunt.”
