Detroit, Michigan, is emerging as an essential hub for travelers to the Caribbean. Delta Air Lines recently launched a weekly nonstop flight from Detroit to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, on Saturdays. This follows the relaunch of non-stop service to Nassau, Bahamas.

Looking ahead, Delta plans to introduce a direct route from Detroit to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, this summer, as reported by Caribbean magazine. These new connections offer Detroiters a welcome escape from the city’s harsh winters.

Round-trip flights from Detroit to Turks and Caicos currently cost about $812, according to Google Flights.

Other Delta flights from Detroit to the Caribbean include:

  • Montego Bay, Jamaica:
  • San Juan, Puerto Rico
