“Landman” will debut on Paramount+ on Nov. 17 in the U.S. and international markets where the service is available. The first two episodes will be available to stream on that date, followed by one episode per week. The first season consists of 10 episodes.
“Landman” is based on the “Boomtown” podcast from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly. The official logline describes the show as “an up-and-down story of losers and wild billionaires fueling a boom so big it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics.”
In addition to Thornton, the cast includes Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Demi Moore. Jon Hamm will star in a recurring guest role, with Andy Garcia and Michael Peña also appearing as guest stars.
Sheridan co-created the series with Christian Wallace. Both serve as executive producers, along with David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay. Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch are executive producers for Imperative Entertainment, as are JK Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas Monthly. Peter Feldman serves as co-executive producer. “Landman” is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions
