A very, terribly good JRPG is back in the Nintendo Switch e-shop after a short absence. That means that you, yes you are home with a nice bag of Christmas money, can grab it now and enjoy it during this depressing January.
The game is Triangle strategy! A visually beautiful and fun to play RPG from Square Enix, which you can buy for around $60/50. It first launched in March 2022 exclusively on Nintendo Switch, but later came to other platforms after a period of exclusivity expired.

You might be wondering: why did it leave the store in the first place? While no clear official reason is given, this is most likely due to a change in the publisher listed on the store. You see, when it first came out, Nintendo was listed as the publisher, as that company was responsible for international publishing outside of Japan during the exclusivity period.
Now that the game is available elsewhere, it can be assumed that any contractual obligation for Nintendo to handle the publication of the Triangle Strategy abroad has ended, meaning Square Enix will have to take over. As such, the store listing should be deleted while the backend exchange takes place. This has happened in the past for other Square Enix games like Octopath Traveler, which – in addition to the relatively short duration of TS’s absence – is why we pretty sure that this is the cause.
Triangle Strategy, if you haven’t heard of it before, is a cool game that is definitely worth checking out. It’s a slow burn, but the combat and voting systems are really engaging and help it stand out from other RPGs out there. Moreover, it is a sight to behold. I dare say that on that merit alone it is worth trying.
