The top of the rankings on the Masters 2025 is a WHO’s who of the best golfers on the planet this season. Almost all the biggest stars in the game play with Augusta National for two days. The Top 20 all four of the current big winners, 18 total large championships won, four current or former World No. 1S golfers and 14 of the top 25 players in that official world wave ranking.

That is what Golf Supporters want from a major, especially with the Masters Masters, where we would like to see the best players in the world being tested by one of the best courses in the world.

Despite the star power at the top, however, there are some big names that are not on their way to the Masters this year’s Masters after they fail at the Cutline on +2.

Remarkable players who missed 2025 Masters

  • Russell Henley (+3)
  • Dustin Johnson (+3)
  • Bernhard Longer (+3)
  • Fred -Paren (+4)
  • Sergio Garcia (+4)
  • Tony Finau (+4)
  • Brooks Koepka (+5)
  • Sepp sleek (+5)
  • Cameron Smith (+5)
  • Phil Mickelson (+5)
  • Robert Macintyre (+6)
  • Cameron Young (+7)
  • Will Zalatoris (+8)

Henley moved in the top 10 in the world this year, but a 79 on Thursday was too much to overcome Friday, despite his efforts to shoot a 68 (a bogey on 18 cost him the weekend). Sepp sleek also made a big push on Friday before the Cut-Line, but a bogey-triple finish bounced him for the weekend.

Two legends make the list because they were completely in the cutting line until the end of their second rounds. Longer, 67, bogey the 18th to fall to +3 in are 41st and last masters. Paren, 65, came in Friday, but he made three bogeys on his last five holes to miss the cut by two.

Three former champions of the LIV tour were also short of the weekend. Johnson missed the cut with one blow, because the 2020 champion does not play the weekend for the second time since his victory. Mickelson had it until +1 late in his round, but rinsed shots on nrs. 15 and 16 to support themselves, far beyond the cut line. Garcia has seen a revival of the career in Liv Golf this year, but could not bring that form to Augusta National, who slid out on Friday outside the Cutline with a 76.

Koepka continued his series of bad finishes (according to his standards) in Majors in the past few years with a 74-75. On Friday, Smith completely ejected a 78 after a solid 71 on Thursday, which marked the first time that he missed a cut at the Masters. Macintyre was a popular choice that came in the week, but could not get anything wrong with back-to-back 75s. Young played well with the Masters in the past, but cast out on the 16th on Friday with a four -putt, including two misses from a foot of the cup. Zalatoris had only made 10 years in his three Masters performances, but could not reclaim the magic at Augusta National.
